Emily Dykeman leads our newest book club over Zoom! 

Part writing manual, part memoir, and part philosophy editorial, Bird by Bird is an accessible look at how life translates to creativity and vice versa. This group is open to writers at any stage of development as well anyone else open to a robust discussion or looking for creative motivation. This club will meet twice for Bird by Bird. The first meeting on April 22nd will be for introductions and to dive into the book and the second meeting on May 6th will allow for more in depth discussion. 

Emily Dykeman is an experienced bookseller and is active as a performer and technical director with Hudson Valley Performing Arts Laboratory. She’s also working on a collection of short stories! Her favorite genres to read and recommend are writing reference, travel writing, short stories, fantasy, YA, fiction, and memoir.
