Cat Nap (Hardcover)
Cat loves to nap. If only he could find a good resting place to hide from playful (and wide awake) Kitten!
Opposites and hide-and-seek make this a fun story for naptime -- or anytime.
In this book filled with opposites (big and little, black and white, sleepy and awake) Toni Yuly proves once again--as she did with Early Bird and Night Owl--that simple concepts come alive for the youngest readers through bold art and charming language.
About the Author
Toni Yuly has been an early bird all her life, and loves to start the day in the studio listening to other early birds sing outside her window. She was born in Seattle and now lives in Bremerton, Washington, in a small house by the water. She studied painting at the University of Washington, where she worked with the great American painter Jacob Lawrence. In addition to making art, Toni works in the King County library system. She is the author and illustrator of Early Bird and Night Owl.
“When Cat agrees to play hide-and-seek with Kitten, he underestimates his relentless opponent . . . Delightful pre-nap read-aloud fare.” —Kirkus Reviews
